Acted as Art Director for the 2017 BFA Exhibition at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in tandem with another student designer (Robert Marohn). Guided by species indigenous to central Illinois, a field like guide was created for the School of Art + Design to promote the class of 2017. Produced 3000+ catalogs, 300 screen prints, environmental graphics for the exhibition, and a promotional website. This project recently won the 2017 GDUSA Student Design Award and an award in Excellence for Green-Production from The University & College Designers Association (UCDA).
Inspired by a vintage field guide, each major was given an animal indigenous to Illinois. This key appears on one of the beginning pages of the catalog and acted as a guide throughout.
A limited set of 25, 23 x 35 in, posters were designed in addition to 200+ smaller, 19 x 25 in, posters to promote the opening of the exhibition. All done through a three-layer screen printing process.
The school enjoyed our design so much that they created shirts for the 2017/2018 year. This iteration was created with the help of Juli Nakazato.
